Film Production Class

This is the hands-on creative class. We now have a go at doing it like Spielberg!

Participants will be learning how to use the video cameras, editing via Final Cut Pro and IMovie on the IMAC, researching, scriptwriting, and participate in at least a minimal of one project per term. This class is aimed at beginners but students with small amount of previous knowledge are preferred.

For 2008 Film Production has been held on Saturday mornings between 10am and 1pm in Devonport. This is three hour class minimum per week. Students not only learn to operate technical equipment but learn to script write and research their own projects and enter film competitions.

The class is open to any age and ability but homework and research is required and expected. This year (2008) our class of four students have completed the following projects, which can be viewed via the following links below, including one entry in the MyIsland State Film Competition 2008.

Depending on enrolments for this class - as each class is approx 4 people due to camera and computer/editing usage, this class at present is suited to Saturday mornings due to daylight for filming if needed, but this class can be held evenings. Please enquire to see if we can provide you with the creative experience.

Film Production Class is not offered anywhere in Tasmania on a weekly basis at an affordable cost of $5 per hour ($15 per week over the term) – Extra lessons not charged for. You are playing with thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

Come JOIN US…and BE CREATIVE…..
